Minnesota Boat Club
Rowing in Saint Paul Since 1870
Minnesota Boat Club has been promoting health and fitness through the sport of rowing since 1870. Our programs cater to a wide variety of competitive and recreational rowers. The historic boathouse is located on the shores of Raspberry Island and is the jewel of downtown Saint Paul's Mississippi waterfront. The club maintains a beautiful landscape and lovingly restored banquet hall available for your next special event.
Our summer learn to row classes offer a unique opportunity to experience rowing on a beautiful stretch of the Mississippi River in downtown Saint Paul. Learn the basics of the rowing stroke in a stable, catamaran-style training boat, and later feel the exhilaration and speed in an 8-oared racing shell.
Our boathouse on Raspberry Island is filled with history, surrounded by natural beauty, and conveniently located in downtown Saint Paul. Our intimate indoor and outdoor event space is professionally managed by Mintahoe Catering & Events for an unforgettable experience. Learn more at the link below.

Our rowers have been nationally competitive for nearly 150 years and our boathouse is on the National Register of Historic Places. MBC was one of the founding clubs of the longstanding North West International Rowing Association and have called Raspberry Island our home since the club was founded 1870.
